Bio
My name is Ian Belloso. I am a classically-trained pianist, keyboardist and music producer. The title I probably most identify with is "creative." I realized early in life that my own passion for learning piano was motivated by my desire to actually CREATE music. So, I set out to learn from the masters. I won competitions and scholarships in high school, then double-majored in piano and composition at the University of Kansas where I obtained my bachelor's degree, before going on to record, write, and produce music in a number of different styles. Now, I split my time between recording, producing, and teaching.

My Teaching Philosophy
CREATIVITY IS EVERYTHING!
I love being a CREATOR of music; and that love extends quite naturally into the collaborative creative process we have all come to know as “teaching.” There is no greater joy in world for me than creating music, with one exception - witnessing my students create music of their own, and find as much joy in that pursuit as I have.
I strongly believe that absolutely everyone, without exception, is deeply and profoundly musical. It's just part of being human.
As such, I can coach almost anyone willing to follow instruction. There are no prerequisites for becoming a student with me other than having a willingness and coach-ability that any artistic pursuit requires. The rest - your built-in, natural musicality is already in place.
My goal with every student is to maximize the likelihood of them acquiring and retaining music as a LIFELONG companion.
