Online Account Access

for Students and Families

This website is the “face” of the studio's online presence, but there are actually three different online accounts that students and their families will need to access regularly.

The Student/Parent Portal

 The porta provides secure access to student contact info, billing (including invoices and payment settings), lesson scheduling and the studio calendar of events.

Simply Music Piano

If you are a piano student, then almost ALL CURRICULUM is accessed through your Simply Music Student account. Student home materials, including their entire library of videos, audio tracks, and downloadable documents, are stored here.

The Better Practice App

During the course of each week, students will need to reconnect with their assignments and access related materials. Better Practice is the place where students will spend MOST of their time. In addition to assignments, it includes direct contact (chat) with your teacher so that you can ask questions during the week and stay up to date.

The Student/Parent Portal

The Student/Parent Portal is accessible from my studio website and requires a user name and password to log in. Upon enrollment, I will email a temporary password to parents and adult students, which can be updated to one of their own choosing after logging in the first time. Adult students and parents can utilize the portal to:

Keep Up to Date

  • view the studio calendar

  • see upcoming lessons and events

  • register or cancel lessons

  • keep track of studio closures and holidays

  • view attendance, teacher notes, and make-ups

  • see studio announcements and news

View and Edit Account Info

  • view and download invoices

  • see a more detailed breakdown of all charges & credits

  • make payments, or change stored payment info

  • view and update contact info for all family members

  • see a history of email communcations

Use of the studio website and Student/Parent Portal is contingent upon acceptance of both the Online Privacy Policy Agreement and the Terms of Service which may be viewed any time using the links in the footer section of this website.

The Simply Music Student Intranet

After completing enrollment, new students are required to create a user profile on the Simply Music Student Store (https://students.simplymusic.com/store), which will allow them to purchase their curriculum.

Simply Music curriculum is only accessible via the Simply Music Student Intranet, and is not available through my studio website. The same User ID and Password that you create for the store will also be used to access all future curriculum and materials on the SM Student Intranet Library (https://students.simplymusic.com).

Please note that only one user profile is required per family.

The Music Practice App

At Piano Belloso Music Studio we use a modern practice tool called Better Practice that makes practice easier, smarter, and more fun. It puts everything you need to practice at your fingertips, including the teacher!

Here are just some of the things you will be able to do:

  • Get a new practice list each day. Everyday, Better Practice generates a personal practice list based on what you need
  • Send questions during practice. No more waiting for the next lesson and losing a week of progress.
  • Track your practice, what and how long, as well as your progress. The teacher can see this too.
  • See other students who are learning just like you.
  • Add videos and backing tracks. Have fun playing along as if you are in a band.
  • ...and much more!

Better Practice is a music app that works on any device with a modern browser including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Macs and PCs. Just open up a browser. Nothing to download!
